In which we have the mission control system called The Brain which has the network of neurons in billions. The neurons look different from other cells by having many branches which communicate with each other very fast and instinct through the chemicals and electrical disturbances. ADOLESCENCE

A complex and confusing stage of life where we come across many changes in the body physically and mentally because we grow from childhood to adolescence in the age of 10-19 years. Due to these ongoing changes we face a lot of confusion and stress to decide whether we belong to childhood or adulthood. The changes occurring in females and males are different. It is a period of major transitions in the body like: 1. Increase in height : An individual will attain the maximum height in this age. Initially females grow faster than boys and by the age of 18years they reach maximum height. 2. AIDS

AIDS stands for Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome which is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the HIV virus. It is a deadliest non congenital disease which is acquired during the lifetime of a person which affects the immunity,leading to group of symptoms known as syndrome. ☆Aids spread only through body fluids. Transmission of AIDS occurs by  : Sexual contact with the infected persons/ having multiple sex partners. Transfusion of contaminated blood and blood products. Sharing infected needles (mostly in the case of intravenous drug abusers). Infected mother to child through placenta. Symptoms : Bouts of fever Diarrhea Weight loss Loss of appetite  Diagnostic test  :  ELISA Death is inevitable in AIDS🎗.

Menstrual Cycle

A reproductive cycle which is seen in female primates which include apes, monkeys, and humans. it begins in the puberty and the first menstrual cycle is called menarche which ceases around 50 years and termed as menopause.it is a periodic cycle of 28/29 days on an average. It has 4 stages. 1) Menstrual phase : It lasts for 3-5days. Degeneration of corpus luteum takes place. Levels of progesterone and oestrogen decreases, which leads to the breakdown of endometrium. 2) Follicular phase : it is also known as proliferative phase. Development of follicles occur. Level of hormones and formation of endometrium increases gradually . 3) Ovulation phase :  it happens on the 14th day. Size of the follicle increases which leads to the drastic increase in LH (LH surge) and FSH levels. The increase in FSH level promotes ovulation. 4) Luteal phase : it is also termed as secretory phase.
